OUR MISSION
The Greenville Civic Ballet offers the finest classical ballet, jazz and contemporary dance training in Eastern North
Carolina. Our mission is to inspire students to pursue goals and to strive for excellence. We provide a supportive
classroom setting, so our students may expand their abilities and gain self-confidence. We expect the best effort from
all our students, whether they are aspiring professionals or only dancing as a hobby. We employ the best teachers to
instruct challenging classes designed to foster growth and encourage self-discovery. We offer students opportunities
for leadership and achievement. We provide students with quality performance opportunities.
We know that positive role models are vital to a student’s success in our program. Our teachers are committed to
professional development and regularly participate in workshops, summer study, master classes and dance festivals.
They also hold degrees in dance and art studies from outstanding universities across the United States.
